Bivek Mathur Jammu, Dec 28: Holding Omar Abdullah responsible for the recent Board of Professional Entrance Examination (BOPEE) scam, Chief Patron, People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, today said that the scam would not have been possible if the officer was not awarded three extensions. He was addressing a rally at Arnia , Bishnah. Mufti said both National Conference and Congress are equally responsible for giving repeated extensions to Peer. He said Peer has demolished the sanctity of the institute (BOPEE) by distributing papers of medical as well as engineering examinations among the students getting heavy money from them as 'bribe'. "Back-Door appointments have become a trend in the National Conference-Congress Government and the bureaucrats have been used for this purpose to benefit the relatives of politicians". Mufti also launched veiled attack on Omar Abdullah for the power crisis in the state saying, "Baglihar project was not commissioned during PDP's rule in the state in between 2002 to 2005 but people were happy regarding the power supply and BJP Government in Delhi too supported PDP in state, but now even after completion of five years in Government by the ruling coalition and commissioning of Baglihar project, people are still made to suffer". Mufti also criticized Omar Abdullah for political mess in state referring the Shopian killing and problems in 2010 and said, "All institutions aimed at maintaining transparency and corruption free state have been bulldozed by the ruling coalition for their personal benefits". "Whosoever-BJP or Congress will come to power in the National Politics will go for friendship with the neighbouring country Pakistan to maintain an atmosphere of communal harmony in the state to fulfill the dream of former Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee", said Mufti. Other leaders who spoke on the occasion were Party Vice President, T S Bajwa, and Candidate for Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha seat Yash Pal Sharma, Tarsem Saini, Ved Mahajan, Yash Pal Bhaghat, Upinder Kour, Tejinder Kour, Jagjeet Singh Jagga and Madan Lal Chalotra.
