| BOPEE scam likely to big issue in next Assembly election | | | Early Times Report
arnia (Bishnah), Dec 28: Bungling in Board of Professional Entrance Examination (BOPEE) is likely to be a major political issue in the next Assembly because opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has decided to loudly take up this issue in the days to come to expose Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.
They way PDP leadership especially party patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and party president Mehbooba Mufti have been raising this issue is a clear indication that party is not going to leave this issue in the coming days.
While addressing a public meeting at border town of Arnia, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed launched a direct attack on Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for mess in BOPEE.
Ridiculing Omar Abdullah for taking claim of exposing scam in BOPEE, Mufti, without naming former chairman Mushtaq Ahmed Peer, said that main accused was given extension thrice by Chief Minister. "How Chief Minister can escape from his responsibility", he asked and launched direct attack on Chief Minister for patronizing corruption and nepotism in the State. He said that Omar Abdullah Government has systimatically eroded sanctity of all democratic institutions and even a prestigious institution like BOPEE was not spared.
It is believed that BOPEE scam is going to be big issue in the next Assembly elections because PDP leadership has realized this is big issue which would be an issue which can be clicked. |
