JAMMU, Dec 28: Deputy Commissioner Jammu Ajeet Kumar Sahu today convened a meeting to discuss the issues pertaining to home delivery of LPG in urban areas and all major towns in Jammu district. The meeting held threadbare discussions regarding compliance of various directions of J&K High Court and also to check the misuse of subsidized LPG at commercial establishments. The meeting was attended by Senior Superintendent of Police Atul Goyal, Director CAPD G. S. Chib, Deputy Controller, Legal Metrology Jammu Manoj Prabhakar, Deputy Director Information Jyoti Salathia, SDM Akhnoor, SDM R. S. Pura, Tehsildar Jammu, Tehsildar Bishnah, representatives from various Oil companies, other senior officers of the concerned departments. Deputy Commissioner Jammu impressed upon the concerned functionaries to ensure hundred percent home deliveries of LPG (door to door) in urban areas including major towns. He said that strict action shall be taken against the defaulting dealers involved in spot LPG delivery. He strictly maintained that action against the erring dealers will include cancellation of distribution ship. Mr. Sahu also constituted a special squad comprising of Deputy and Assistant Controller Legal Metrology, Assistant Director CAPD, SHO and revenue officer to scrutinize the records of the LPG dealers for maintaining/ensuring cent percent home delivery of LPG and put a check on the use of domestic cylinder in commercial units. |
