IEWUU launches indefinite strike

Kathua, Dec 28: Demanding re-instatement of workers who were illegally transferred by the "Jackson Ltd" the Industrial Estate Workers Union Unit (IEWUU) Kathua has launched indefinite strike.
The protest demonstration was held at Industrial Estate Kathua in front of Jackson Ltd industry under the leadership of Raj Kumar. Addressing the workers he said the illegal transfer of semi skilled workers which is being done by the Jackson Ltd to other state.
He said, "The union accused that Industry is not leaving its stand to re-enter the transferred semiskilled employees on their back position and seemed still adamant to violate labour Act according to the transfer is totally illegal and an offence."
The union warns if their demand is not met by the industry they would continue strike till the demand is accepted. "The union has already fighting for this cause for the last four months and even the matter is lying with ALC Kathua", he said. Later a delegation of the Union also called on ALC kathua where in he assured to settle the dispute between Jackson Ltd and its workers.
