Kathua, Jan 10: Vicky Cricket Club (VCC) Pathankot and Kings President XI Sunderbani won their respective matches to move into the next round of the ongoing 4th Police Martyrs' Memorial North Zone Twenty20 Cricket Championship at Sports Stadium, here today. In the first match of the day, VCC defeated HFCC Panipat by 53 runs. Batting first, VCC Pathankot set a target of 141 runs for the loss of nine wickets. Gurvinder Singh made highest 39 runs coming off 30 balls. Anku took four wickets from HFCC Panipat. Later, HFCC Panipat bowled out for 87 runs in 15.1 overs. Sarwan remained top scorer with 27 runs off 14 balls. Kunal from VCC Pathankot emerged as most successful bowler with four for 24. Kunal was declared man of the match for his four wickets haul. Meanwhile, in another match of the day, Kings President XI Sunderbani trounced Vansu Cricket Club (VCC) Delhi by a huge margin of 121 runs. Earlier, Kings President XI won the toss and decided to bat first they made 201 runs losing eight wickets. Vivek Rana made highest 87 runs off mere 56 deliveries while Himanshu contributed 20-ball 53 runs. Vivek of Vansu Club Delhi took two wickets. Chasing a target of 202, Vansu Club bundled out for just 80 runs in 14.2 overs. Himanshu clinched five wickets from Kings President XI Sunderbani and was adjudged man of the match. |
