Jammu, Jan 10: A month long Theatre Workshop was today inaugurated at the Department of Hindi, University of Jammu with an objective to enable participants to hone basic understanding about the drama techniques.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Parmeshwari Sharma said that the aim of the workshop is to teach students the techniques of Stage and presentation style, enabling the students to increase basic understanding about the drama techniques.
"Besides, this the workshop will also help students to explore their inherent talent by doing it practically, Dr Parmeshwari said, adding, "Drama and its Stage Craft" is being taught in M.A Fourth Semester.'
The month-long workshop will be conducted by young theatre Director Ms. Ifra Kak and will culminate with the performance of production "Jis Lahore nahin vekheya o jameyaai nahin".
Earlier the Post Graduate Department of Hindi Jammu University had organized the same workshop in the month of February 2013 where students of the Department of Hindi staged the play "Ek Aur Dhronacharya"
