Udhampur, Jan 10: Police have arrested two persons and recovered 108 Pouches of illicit liquor from their possession during a naka laid on National Highway at Kud.
"During the surprise checking of vehicle at National Highway near Kud, police said further adding, "Police Party of Police Station Kud. Intercepted one Tata Sumo (JK06-5271) on its way from Jammu to Doda and recovered 108 pouches of illicit liquor were recovered from the possession of Mohinder Singh s/o Jatinder Singh and Sohan Singh s/o Kuldeep Sinsh of Doda.'
"Police have seized the Vehicle and arrested the accused persons on the spot, police said.
A Case against FIR No. 01/2014 U/S 48A Ex. Act stands registered at Police Station Kud and further investigation of the case is going on.
