Kathua, Jan 10: The illegal mining goes unabated in Kathua courtesy politico-sand mafia nexus and which is resulting into plunder the natural resources from Ravi and UJh rivers and others areas.
Early Times already has reported the matter but recently a popular high profile politician was found openly violating the environmental norms and allegedly found a part of this illegal mining through his heavy machinery like JCB and a tractor which were found digging the bed of a local nalluh in Kathua called as Kathua Khud.
A million dollar question here is how some high profile politicians are running their stone crushers without proper permissions including NOC s ( No Objection Certificates) from the concerned authorities and to all this the Kathua district administration is in deep slumber.
Not only the illegal mining but the illegal encroachment of Khud situated within the main township by the influential and land mafia is also becoming a major concern for the locals.
When contacted Deputy commissioner (DC) Kathua Jatinder Singh he briefly responded that the mining matter in the kathua Khud is not in his knowledge and if any mining is there the administration will take stern and strict legal action against the guilt. |
