| Kashmir abuzz with probability of AAP type module in Valley | | | early times report
SRINAGAR, Jan 16: Amidst prevailing political uncertainty in the state, people across Kashmir and in Jammu are abuzz with the probable emergence of AAP type module in J&K.
According to political analysts people in Kashmir are yet undivided in prevailing political situation in Kashmir as they have lost the faith in the traditional leadership who have failed to deliver and solve the problems of the masses.
The main resentment among the masses is growing corruption and emergence of corrupt leadership in Valley during turmoil, say analysts.
They say the common man has lost faith in this leadership as they failed to bring him out of turmoil and provide some succor to him from the pain and agony he suffered during the turmoil, say, analysts adding instead of coming to the rescue of masses the successive rulers during their years added to the woes of the people due to their wrong and anti people policies.
They say instead of strengthening democratic institutions the successive governments promoted the dynastic politics in the State, supported their blue eyed boys in administration and promoted corruption leaving common masses in lurch.
The void created by the corrupt politics in the valley over the years has not been fulfilled as every political party which ruled the State after restoration of democratic process in 1996 failed to come up to the expectations of the masses.
The PDP -Congress alliance in 2002 generated a hope among the masses that there will be a change for better and uncertainty will end once for all, say analysts, adding but this could not happen as the PDP leader Mufti Mohammed Syed was not allowed to work for full term by its coalition partner Congress and was replaced after three years by Ghulam Nabi Azad.
This gave a setback to PDP and the party could not fulfill its promises in such a short span of time.
Later the condition of rotational Chief Ministership was not made the basis of alliance by Congress while tying up with NC after 2008 Assembly poll in the State. However this coalition failed on all fronts and people feel totally disillusioned with it not only in Kashmir but Jammu and Ladakh regions also.
Under the given political situation a new hope has been generated among Valley people after seeing the outcome of Delhi Assembly elections and people talk of AAP type module in Valley, say analysts, adding this is for the first time in Kashmir when role of national politics is publicly debated in Kashmir and people also suggest for creating such type of module in Kashmir.
However there is no leadership which can take the onus to itself and lead Kashmiris to a revolutionary movement which gives power in the hands of common man. The people are eagerly looking for such an alternative, sources said.
In case such a module emerges the people in Valley will give an overwhelming support to it as they are fed up of blood shed, corruption and dynastic rule etc, say analysts. |
