Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 16: Participating in the Cabinet Sub Committee meeting, office bearers of the J&K High Court Bar Association said that the process of creation of administrative units should be fair and in transparent manner. According to press release, JKHCBA members opined that since they were invited on a very short notice, without providing any copy of the Ganae Committee Report and the norms for the creation of administrative units, as such it is unable to put in its suggestions. The apprised the Minister that the process for the creation of administrative units should be fair and transparent and in order to decentralize the powers to the grass root level, suggestions from every nook and corner of the state be sought by various means including the on-line mode. "Further it was suggested that Ministers while discharging their duties should rise above the political, regional and religious lines, so that a person residing in the remotest corner of the state get benefited by its schemes and welfare measures", they said. JKHCBA, further suggests the CSC to make an endeavor to seek suggestions from the people residing in the remote and hilly areas of the Jammu region particularly Poonch, Rajouri, Kathua, Reasi, Udhampur, Doda, Kishtwar, Ramban and the outer skirts of Jammu and Samba also, so that concrete suggestions and opinion from the people are received by it, so as to reach a fair and just conclusion, for setting up of administrative units. |
