Jammu, Jan 17: Various Brahmin Sabhas and Societies of Jammu Province today constituted a united body "Brahmins United Federation" and Inderjeet Khajuria was appointed its President in a meeting held at Shri Hanuman Mandir Manda Jammu. The decision was taken unanimously by the participants of a select gathering representing Brahmin Kalyan Sabha, Dehati Brahmin Sabha, Grameen Brahmin Sabha, Dogra Brahmin Pratinidhi Sabha,Dogra Pujari, Jyotyshi Shastri Sangh, Brahman Sabha Parmandal and Parshuram Brahmin Smaj. Newly elected president Inderjeet Khajuria in his address pledged to work for unity in the community as per desires and directions of all the speakers taking part in the deliberations. He announced constitution of a governing body comprising of Prof Devendra Sharma, KK Proch, Jagannath Sharma, OP Srikul, Satish Sharma, Prithvi Raj Sharma, ML Sharma, Hukamchand Basotra, Dr Kasturi Lal Khajuria, Jagdish Chander Sharma , Ghanshyam Shastri, Ram Pal Shastri, Mangu Ram Sharma Akhnoor, Rajeshwar Dubey SambaM..ahesh Padha and Dayanand Sharma Kathua. Besides formation of 4 Cells namely Legal Cell to be headed by KK Proch Distt & Sessions Judge (Rtd) assisted by Hukam Chand Basotra, Youth Wing headed by Rajesh Sharma (Bittu), Unity Cell with Prof Devender Sharma and Jagannath Sharma and Press and Publicity Wing headed by ML Sharma were also announced. |
