| Jora visits Rajiv Gandhi sports museum | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 17: The Minister for Urban Development and Urban Local Bodies, Nawang Rigzin Jora has asked the sports fraternity to imbibe spirit of hardwork, dedication and selfless service from the former leading players which they have rendered for the cause of sports promotion adding that their pioneering role should be a guiding factor and source of inspiration for youngster. While visiting Rajiv Gandhi Mini sports Museum at Karan Nagar Jammu today,. Jora lauded the hardwork, dedication and organizational skills of Prof. Ashutosh Sharma adding that his contribution to promotion of sports in J&K is very significant. The Sports Museum has been setup by Professor Ashutosh who has dedicated it to former prime minister Late Rajiv Gandhi who has been the spirit behind the successful conduct of IX ASIAN Games in 1982 at Delhi. Jora said that the way Prof Ashutosh has collected and displayed Olympic and other sports memorabilia and Photographs in the Museum is very impressive, "I am highly impressed with collection of Olympic and other sports memorabilia and photographs. This must have involved huge effort on the part of Shri Ashutosh. This collection requires a proper place for housing them in the form of a museum so that sports lovers and general masses can also have an opportunity to appreciate the collection. |
