Jammu, Jan 17: Various Sikh organizations under the banner of Jammu and Kashmir Sikh United Front (JKSUF) Jammu today staged a strong protest against British Government and the then Prime Minister for her alleged involvement in executing Operation Bluestar at Golden Temple in which thousands of innocent people were killed. While addressing the protestors, General Secretary JKSUF Avatar Singh Khalsa said for getting freedom from British when thousands of innocent Indians were killed where 90% were Sikhs and India had invited the same British Government for killing the innocent devotees who visited on the eve of Martyr day fifth Guru Arjun Dev Ji Maharaj in June 1984. Giving a reference of Raman who headed the Sikh Extremists Division, has also revealed in his book that officers of the British Security Service (MI5) visited the Golden Temple to assess the ground situation before giving their advice to them Indian PM Indira Gandhi. The revelations by British MP Tom Watson on the basis of top secret documents found at British National Archives, which have now been made public, reinforce the disclosure made by the former R&AW official. Those who participated in the protests included Mohinder Singh, Paramjit Singh, Ramnik Singh, Dharmindhar Singh and Harjeet Singh. |
