KATRA, Feb 3: Hailing the decision of Cabinet Sub Committee, the Congress workers at Katra and adjoining Painthal celebrate the creation of new administrative units.
A rally was taken out in Painthal to celebrate the decision of granting Naibat and Community Development (CD) Block at Painthal.
The rally passed through Dheerti, Kakeryal, Sool, Sira, Taleen, Chak Bhagta before culminating at Painthal.
Led by Congress MLC and former Minister Jugal Kishore Sharma, the rally was attended by large number of locals including women.
Raising slogans in favour of Congress, Ghulam Nabi Azad and Jugal Kishore Sharma, the Congress activists hailed the efforts of Azad and Jugal Kishore for fighting for the rights of people of Reasi Constituency.
Speaking on the occasion, MLC Jugal Kishore said that the creation of 659 new administrative units in the state is a historical and revolutionary step which could become a possibility only because of Ghulam Nabi Azad, who was instrumental in establishing new districts in 2007.
He said creating Niabat as well as CD Block at Painthal is a historical decision of the coalition government.
Meanwhile, the jubilant Congress workers at Katra also celebrate the creation of new administrative units. |
