Jammu, Mar 4 : In a significant order, Justice Tashi Rabstan of J&K High Court stayed the selection/appointment of lecturers in the discipline of Urology, Anesthesiology, Neuro Surgery Anesthesia, Pediatrics Surgery Anesthesia and Dermatology.
After hearing Adv Abhinav Sharma appearing for the petitioners, Justice Tashi Rabstan issued notice to Commissioner/secretary Health & Medical Education, Principal GMC Jammu, J&K PSC and Commissioner/Secretary GAD requiring them to file reply within two weeks and in the meanwhile the Court stayed the selection/appointment of lecturers in the discipline of Urology, Anesthesiology, Neuro Surgery Anesthesia, Pediatrics Surgery Anesthesia and Dermatology subject to objections from other and till next date before the Bench.
This direction has been passed in a petition filed by Dr Anuradha Bali and seven others seeking quashment of Advertisement Notice dated February 12, 2014 being violative J&K Medical Education Gazetted Service Recruitment Rules 1979 and also violative J&K Civil Services (reference of vacancies and holding of meetings of DPC) Rules 2005 and Sub Rule (4) of Rule 4 of J&K Academic Arrangement Rules 2009.(JNF) |
