Mendhar, Mar 13: To streamline the civil administration system for the cause of common masses, District Development Commissioner (DDC), Poonch, Sajjad Ahmed Khan chaired a 'public grievance redressal camp' which was organised at Dakbunglow Mendhar today. Local population atleast from 49 Panchayats participated in this camp and raised their issues to DDC Poonch for immediate redressal. Addressing the camp, the DDC impressed upon the elected representatives and general public to become stakeholders in planning process and share responsibility with the field functionaries. He said a help line is also being established at the office of Deputy Commissioner for registration of any kind of complaints telephonically. Emphasizing the role of Panchayats, he directed all the 14 line departments to ensure involvement of Panchayats in day to day functioning and Halqa Patwaris will notify their monthly schedule for at office and field as well. During the camp DDC Poonch listened to various issues raised by people and a timeline was fixed for their redressal.
