| Senior leaders allege discrimination in recently announced PCC list, may call on Sonia, Rahul | | Bickering in Congress ahead of LS polls | | Bivek Mathur Jammu, Mar 13: Ahead of the crucial Lok Sabha elections, Congress party is confronting with the serious problem as some leaders have expressed their anguish over newly constituted executive committee of the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) and new team of the office bearers of PCC. Some senior Congress leaders alleged that blue-eyed boys of some leaders are adjusted on important posts while as dedicated workers are ignored in new executive of PCC. Reliable sources said that after the recently announced PCC list of executive committee and office bearers resentment is prevailing among the senior and those party leaders who claimed to be working with the party for the last over 25 years as their names did not appear in the list. Reliable sources said that some party leaders have been camping in New Delhi and had met with Ambika Soni, Prof. Saif-Ud-Din Soz and Ghulam Nabi Azad and expressed their resentment with the senior party leaders. The party leaders, according to sources are also annoyed over lack of representation to about 12 districts which according to them are totally ignored while giving representation and two districts of Ramban and Kulgam are not given any representation owing to which the morale of the leaders from these districts is down. These leaders have requested the high command to adjust in PCC list with proper designation so that their moral should go up and will further work for Congress party to strengthen the party at grass root level, which according to them is dream of Rahul Gandhi. If party fails to adjust these rejected leaders within a week, a deputation of these leaders will approach Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi for a remedy and will explain whole story to the party leaders about unfair treatment with them. Reliable sources said that names of only those leaders were ignored in PCC who were inactive in the party. PCC chief Saif-ud-Din Soz has, sources said, accommodated all those leaders whose names were given by Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad. |
