| DIG Poonch reviews poll security preparedness | | | Early Times Report
Poonch, Mar 13: Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Rajouri -Poonch , Ashok Kumar Attri, reviewed the security arrangements for the areas falling under the jurisdiction of Kalakaote, Dharamsal, Sunderbani and Nowshera Police Stations.
Official spokesperson said that the DIG, Attri who chaired this security review meeting was attended by all the Station House Officers of different police stations besides Rakesh Kumar, ASP.Pardeep Singh Gauria, SDPO.
While addressing the meeting DIG reviewed the preparedness of Police regarding the upcoming Parliamentary polls as well as the campaign rallies that are scheduled by different political parties.
He also directed his officials to ensure that fool proof security is provided to the political leaders who visit their area of jurisdiction for holding poll campaign rallies. DIG also directed his officials to make ensure that all sort of accommodation and other arrangements are put in place for the para-military forces that will be deputed from outer areas for poll duties.
Later a deputation of locals from the area also called upon DIG AK Attri. |
