| After closure, illegal pvt school again resurfaces in Nud zone | | | Early Times Report
SAMBA, Mar 13: In complete disregard to the laid down rules and norms laid down by the School Education Department, a private school in Zone Nud in Samba is functioning illegally even though it was closed down on the directions of Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) last year.The school namely Agape Mission International Missionary Convent School owned by one Benny Thomas is running in Nud since last four yrs.Sources told Early Times that the education department never granted a permission to run a private school to its owner adding that even the ZEO, Nud visited the school and found it to be illegal as well as violating the norms.
After getting satisfied that the school is functioning illegally, the school got closed on April 18, 2013 since the ZEO issued the necessary instructions for the same.But surprisingly, the principal of the school shifted the school to a new place in a village Dora in Nud zone and continue to run it in present time without any valid permission.The locals said that last year's closure of the school was mere eyewash adding that higher authorities in the School Education department will not take any action against the school owner.They said that there is no need to open a private school as a Government Middle School already exists in the village. When contacted the ZEO, Nud Gopal Khajuria told Early Times that he informed the higher authorities several times with regard to the issue. |
