Jammu, Mar 13: Bakshi Nagar police today arrested a man besides recovering a 12 bore gun without license, 3 live rounds and a sharp-edged weapon (toka) from his possession when he was driving a car (without registration number) during a special naka raised here today.
"On specific information, Bakshi Nagar police laid naka at Bakshi Nagar and intercepted one Volkswagen Car without which was without registration number driven by one Rajesh Dutta alias Sunna of Rehari Colony Jammu," police spokesperson said.
Police further said that during search of the car, police party recovered one sharp edge weapon (Toka) and one 12 bore gun (without licensed) alongwith 3 live rounds. "The accused was arrested on spot, police said adding, "a case against FIR No. 30/2014 u/s 3/25-Arms Act, 4/25-Arms Act was registered at Bakshi Nagar police station while further investigation is going on." |
