| Chaman appeals people to vote for JKDF president | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, Mar 13: Gearing up election campaign in favour of Anil Gupta, JKDF today inaugurated election office for Doda- Udhampur Parliamentary constituency at Kathua. Election office has been opened to run the election campaign and apprise the voters about the party ideology and it's stand regarding the issues related to the six districts of this constituency and also the fair representation of the aspirations of the people of this region in the Parliament.
In an impressive inaugural ceremony of election office at Kathua, overwhelming response was received from youth, students , ladies and prominent citizens of the area who gathered in huge numbers to support the candidature of Anil Gupta for the Doda-Udhampur Parliamentary Constituency. Election office was inaugurated by veteran political activist and leader from Kathua Lala Karam Chand in presence of former Union Minister and MLA Chaman Lal Gupta, senior JKDF leaders and Anil Gupta (state president and JKDF candidate for Doda- Udhampur constituency) While inaugurating election office jointly with Lala Karam Chand , Gupta Said, " I have served the people of this state throughout my life and did my best to come up to the expectations of the masses.
I am emotionally attached with this region as I represented it in the Parliament of country thrice. The pains and agony of the people of this region is better understood by me . During the early ninetees when this whole belt was under the grab of militancy, the formation of VDC's and SPO's played a vital role in fighting the militancy and helped to eliminate the militants from this region. But these youth are still to get what they deserve for their services to the nation. Besides there are still a large number of issues like unemployment, education and development where this region is lagging far behind the other districts. We will take this struggle forward till we achieve our goals. Owing to old-age I have shouldered these responsibilities to my son Anil Gupta, who will take forward this movement with JKDF and supporters to fulfill the dream of building a New Jammu.
Anil is a young leader and full of enthusiastic ideas, we hope he will guide the party in right perspective and serve the masses with zeal to regain the pride of Dogra's. I wish him good luck and appeal the people to vote and support Anil to provide him a chance to serve the people of this region". While expressing gratitude to Gupta and other supporters present during the occasion, Anil Gupta said, "The overwhelming response which we are receiving from the all six districts of this constituency is clear indication that people want a change.
The dubious policies of BJP and Congress are exposed. These parties for the sake of power have always betrayed the people of Jammu.
The situation of Jammu which is the birth place of Dogras and every person living here is in sorry state. We all would like to flourish and prosper but the State developmental Policies, employment plans, etc have ignored the heartland of Jammu.
People of Jammu deserve more prosperous land and a far better tomorrow for which we have to stop bearing the step motherly treatment given out to us and have to break out silence." The prominent JKDF activists present during the occasion were Murari Lal Balgotra, Surinder Sharma, Krishan Lal Gupta, Ram Kumar, Munish Khajuria, Manmohan Sharma, Robin Kumar, Varun Kumar, Raman , Anil Khajuria and others. |
