Jammu, Mar 21 : Dealers Association Electronic Weighing Machine (DAEWM) has expressed deep concern over presence of group of cheaters, who has been looting the trader community on the name of Legal Metrology Department in Jammu Division. According to press release, a meeting DAEWM was held here today under the leadership its president Vinod Kumar Verma. Speaking on the occasion Verma said that the association of has been receiving complaints from traders of Rajouri, Poonch Jammu and other place for a long times, that some persons were getting stumping fees from traders by claiming their self as Inspector and Assistant Controler of Legal Metrology Department. "This has created fear among those traders, who have been using Electronic Weighing Machines", Verma said, adding that the association requests to Legal Metrology Department to hold meeting of their officials with trader for their introduction to avoid any loot of trader community by the cheaters. "The Department should avoid if it is taking services from some private parties to conduct its business", he said, adding the department should organize the camp in different areas. The association has also requested to the electronic Machine users that they while conducting Stumping of their machine by the department concerned also get official receipt. "If some found anything wrong during Stumping kindly inform concern police", Verma said. The meeting was attended by General Secretary P N Pandita, Jatinder Mangi, Surinder Ghai and Ashutosh. |
