Jammu, Mar 21: Chain snatchers beware! Jammu police have come up with a secret strategy to put a curb on ever increasing menace of chain snatching. Around 10 teams of efficient and professional cops have been constituted.
According to sources, increase in chain snatching incidents has scared the people especially the females. The police have failed to solve most of the cases with the SHOs reluctant to book goldsmiths for buying stolen chains.
However, a strategy has been devised and the police now seems serious in putting an end to the menace.
"Now snatchers can be catch on spot with the new strategy of the police", said a source adding that ten teams for this purpose have been constituted and areas were also allotted to them.
Sources further said that senior officer have also announced that the team members who catch the chain snatcher would be awarded with cash and certificates.
