Early Times Report

JAMMU, Mar 21: BJP candidate for Udhampur-Kathua- Doda Lok Sabha constituency Dr Jitendra Singh said here today that the wounds of Kishtwar are still fresh and added, a BJP government at the Center will institute an impartial inquiry and bring the culprits to book.
Congress, which is in power both at the Center as well as in the State, had connived with communal forces to frighten and attack the minority community in Kishtwar, he alleged.
Dr Jitendra Singh, who will file his nomination papers tomorrow in Kathua at the office of the Deputy Commissioner, said, soon after filing nomination papers, he will leave for a tour of erstwhile Doda district and reassure the local masses there of BJP's commitment to protect the interests of minorities and get justice for VDCs and SPOs.
Talking to media, Dr Jitendra Singh said, the enthusiasm and overwhelming response to BJP campaign has sent shivers in the Congress camp and they are now struggling for tags and cosmetic options to revive themselves.
Dr Jitendra Singh said, recent Roshni scam of 25,000 crore and Amarnath land row of 2008 are not yet forgotten or forgiven by people and Congress which was primarily responsible for it, will be taught a befitting lesson at the hustings. The Narendra Modi government, which is going to take over in May, will order a thorough probe into 25,000 crore Roshni scam, he added.
Accusing the Congress of pursuing separatist-friendly and anti-Jammu policy simply to stay in power, Dr Jitendra Singh said, BJP is committed to struggle for self-respect and justice for the region unlike the Congress which has always betrayed the cause of Jammu from time to time.
Dr Jitendra Singh said, people have made up their mind to vote for BJP in order to achieve the target of 272+ and ensure installation of Narendra Modi as the next Prime Minister of India.
