| Developmental schemes fail to meet deadlines: Hamid Choudhary | | 'Yash Pal as PDP candidate a right choice' | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 21: Seeking vote and support for party candidate Yash Pal Sharma, People's Democratic Party (PDP) leader and Co-ordinator for Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary constituency, Abdul Hamid Choudhary has said that government's inability to execute projects within stipulated time frame have not only retarded development but also deprived people in many villages of basic amenities like water and electricity. This inordinate delay in completion of projects has also delayed rural road connectivity by months and may be years now. Sending Yash Pal Sharma to Parliament, he said would be a great decision as he is the right candidate who could represent aspirations of people of his constituency. This constituency, he said has always remained neglected and time has come to vote Yash Pal Sharma to power and create history and also strengthen hands of the party Patron Mufti Mohammad Sayed and party chief Mehbooba Mufti. Choudhary Hamid said most of the projects that stand delayed were meant for rural population and this is why areas like Nagrota are facing neglect. Majority of central projects, he said were aimed at developing rural pockets but this inordinate delay has exposed government's claims that it was working for the betterment of people of the state. He added that about 200 projects costing about Rupees 1000 crore have failed to meet deadline which is a number in itself. The PDP leader urged people to keep such failures of government in mind vote while voting. Nothing less than PDP, he said can give people a credible and transparent government. |
