| Birth Anniversary of Justice Mehar Chand Mahajan to be held on Mar 23 | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 21: Mahajan Sabha today held a meeting in connection with celebration of 124th Birth Anniversary of Justice Mehar Chand Mahajan to be held on March 23.
While addressing a meeting, Bal Krishan Gupta Chairman Mahajan Sabha Trikuta Nagar while speaking informed that the function will be held at Garden Estate Trikuta Nagar instead of Gandhi Nagar Mehar Chand Mahajan Park. All are therefore informed attend the function accordingly Garden Estate Trikuta Nagar at schedule time & date if showering of rain.
He further informed that Biradri shall honor six dignitaries of Mahajan Community with Gold Medal for their dedicate sincere contribution and outstanding service for the community.
During This function luminaries of Mahajan Biradri will also felicitated with Mahajan Gourav Award.
Highlighting the contribution of Justice Mehar Chand Mahajan, he said he was born on 23rd December 1889. He became the first Prime Minister of Jammu & Kashmir in September 1947 and later held the highest office of Chief Justice of India on January, 1954. Justice Mahajan was an active member of various social organization including Mahajan Sabha. He became the President of Akhil Bhartiya Mahajan Shiromani Sabha in 1929.
He said the people of Biradri who qualified K.A.S, Chartered Accountant and couple who solemnized marriages without dowry will also be honoured and he also appealed to all to attend this function on 23.03.2014 at Mehar Chand Mahajan Park Gandhi Nagar Jammu.
Jagmohan Gupta Chief Patron of Mahajan Sabha Trikuta Nagar highlighted the salient features of the function to be held and apprised that holding such functions preaches the young generation of ideologies and great deeds of the great social Reformer and appealed to all Mahajan Biradri to attend the function at 10:00 AM on Sunday Mar 23, 2014.
