Jammu, Mar 21: Former Minister Thakur Randhir Singh Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) president J&K state said that party will not field its candidates in parliamentary elections in the state and will support Congress and National Conference(NC) alliance in the state which is a part of UPA. While addressing the press conference in the central office of the party in the presence of members of working committee Singh appointed two campaign committees one for Kashmir and other for Jammu region which will campaign for the success of alliance candidates. Briefing the press Singh said that State NCP will maintain its independent identity which has been recognized by the Election Commission of India as national party under the dynamic leadership of Sharad Pawar Union Agriculture Minister who is a tallest, strong, experienced and secular leader in the country and will continue to maintain its independent identity in Jammu and Kashmir in the coming Assembly elections. He said that the party will put up candidates in the state and will continue to raise the public issues like corruption among politicians and bureaucrats ,other imbalances between the regions including delimitation and implementation of 73rd and 74th amendments. Those who were present in the meeting included Mohammad Ashraf Khan, State Secretary, NCP, Mohd Isshaq Lavey, State Secretary, Hilal Ahmeo Vagey , District President, Anantnag, Saifullah Khan District President Kupwara, Nazir Ahmed District President Srinagar, Abdul Gaffar Dar, District President Kulgam. |
