| Bootlegger held with 43 pouches of illicit liquor | | | Early Times Report
Jammu/Doda, Mar 22: Police today arrested a bootlegger and recovered around 43 pouches of illicit (Desi) liquor from his possession during a naka checking in Doda. A case stands registered in this regard at concerned police station.
"The accused has been identified namely as Suran Chand S/O Late Bhim Ram R/O Shamthi Gagla Kastigarh of Doda district," police sources said.
"Police team intercepted one person for his suspicious movement during routine patrolling here today," police sources said adding, "during his frisking police 43 pouches of illicit (Desi) liquor from his possession.'
Police sources said that the accused was arrested on spot and a case against FIR No. 49/2014 U/S 48-A Excise Act stands registered at Police Station Doda while further investigation is going on. |
