CB books fraudster/revenue officials in fake PRC case

Jammu, Mar 22: Crime Branch (CB), Jammu has booked a Himachal Pradesh resident at present Silver Oaks lane Barnai, Jammu and some officials of the Revenue Department from District Udhampur for preparing/managing fake PRC revenue records and immovable property at Jammu. Following a complaint, the Crime Branch Jammu registered a case FIR No.06/2014 u/s 420, 465, 467, 468, 471, 120-B RPC r/w Section 5(2) P.C Act against Kamal Nain Singh s/o Khayali Ram r/o Palampur, Himachal Pradesh at present Silver Oaks lane Barnai, Tehsil & Distt. Jammu and officials of the Revenue Department District Udhampur for preparing/managing fake PRC revenue records and immovable property at Jammu.
Brief facts of the case are that a complaint of Smt Gayatri Devi Jamwal w/o late Karanjeet Singh Jamwal R/o 3-Suramgarh, Bamai, Jammu, duly marked by the Ld Forest Magistrate, Jammu with the direction to hold inquiry in terms of Section 202 CrPC was received in Crime Branch, Jammu, wherein the complainant had alleged that accused Kamal Nain Singh s/o Khayali Ram R/o Palampur, Himachal Pradesh at present Silver Oaks lane Bamai, Jammu being a non-state subject originally hailing from Himachal Pradesh being married to a Jammu based girl.
The complainant also had alleged that the accused had purchased immoveable properties as Benami transactions, had in league with the revenue officials of Disjrict Udhampur managed a fake State Subject certificate on the basis of which he had accumulated huge property in the state of Jammu & Kashmir etc.
On receipt of this complaint an inquiry was initiated in Crime Branch, Jammu and during the course of inquiry it was found that Kamal Nain Singh s/o Khayali Ram was originally a resident of Palampur, Himachal Pradesh where he is having his ancestral property and his mother Smt Bimla Devi is still residing there and looking after the shop under the name & style Kamal Sweet Shop. During investigations it also came to fore that accused never constructed a house or lived in Chenani, District Udhampur, however, entries were made in the Khasra Girdawri register in the year 1994 in his name by the revenue authorities illegally on the basis and use of which he managed and procured a permanent resident certificate fraudulently and in connivance with the revenue officials from District Udhampur and subsequently acquired huge property in the State of J&K.
The report of enquiry u/s 202 Cr PC was filed before the Ld. Forest Magistrate, Jammu from where directions have been issued for registration of a formal case. From the aforementioned facts, it spells out that the above named accused had with malafide intentions and in connivance with officials of the Revenue Department of District Udhampur got prepared fake/ fabricated State Subject Certificate by resorting to fraudulent means and used the same in order to acquire huge properties in the state and an instant case has been registered and investigation started in this regard.
