Jammu, Apr 27: To give proper propulsion to the Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR) mechanism, two days Awareness Referral Coaching and Monitoring (ARCM) programme was organized in the Jammu and Kashmir State Judicial Academy, Jammu on 26th and 27th of April, 2014 by the Mediation Monitoring Committee High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and District Mediation Centre, Jammu under the pilot project scheme formulated by the Mediation and Conciliation Project Committee (MCPC) of Supreme Court of India. The programme was conducted under the direction and guidance of Mediation Committee of High Court of Jammu and Kashmir comprising of Justice Mohammad Yaqoob Mir, Chairman, Justice Muzaffar Hussain Attar and Justice Tashi Rabastan, members with the objective of giving proper direction to the ADR mechanism in the State of Jammu and Kashmir. Trained Mediators, Shalinder Kaur, Anupam Dhingra and Brijesh Oberoi of Delhi Mediation centre, trained Mediators of Main Mediation Centre and District Mediation Centre at Jammu conducted live mediation in which litigant and general public participated actively to demonstrate their enthusiasm towards ADR mechanism. Justice Muzaffar Hussain Attar and Hon'ble Shri Justice Tashi Rabastan personnaly watched the mediations being conducted. A critiquing awareness and refresher programme was also conducted with Judicial Officers of Jammu District, Lawyers, Advocate Mediators and Law students of Law School, University of Jammu. |
