JAMMU, Apr 27: In the latest development of much hyped Roop Nagar brothel house row, police today arrested the tout, who went underground after the arrest of Shahida Parveen wife of Anil Kotwal, the kingpin of the sex racket.
The tout identified as Shabnam wife of Madan Lal of Janipur was arrested, on specific information, by Janipur police team led by SHO Hilal Azhar. As per reports, the tout, who was keep of a hardcore criminal namely Jyoti, supplied the girls to the brothel house of Shahida. She was also involved in supplying the girls to the police and politicians, sources said.
Luring the girls for job in private as well as Government departments, she took them to the residence of Shahida at Roop Nagar and would then allegedly drag them in the flesh trade. By doing so, sources said that the tout used to get her due share. She was arrested on the disclosure of Shahida. Her name was also mentioned in the complaint lodged by Punjab based woman.
Pertinently, the Punjab based newly married girl, lodged a complaint with police station Janipur on April 22 alleging that she was gang raped in the brothel house of Shahida. In this particular case also, the victim was lured by the tout Shabnam to get her job of maid at handsome salary package.
She was taken to the residence of Shahida Parveen at Roop Nagar, where she was forcibly thrown to the group of two persons for her gangrape. She was also threatened of her life if she disclosed of the flesh trade. Based on the complaint, Janipur police arrested the Shahida Parveen, who happens to be the employee of Forest Department as Computer Assistant, for her alleged role in dragging the girls into the flesh trade at her residence in Roopnagar area .
She was booked u/s 376,109,342,506 and 4/5 RPC. While the Shahida is on police remand and is lodged in women cell for questioning, the questioning of the Shabnam is in progress in police station Janipur where on her disclosure more revelations and arrests are expected. Further, police is also laying hands on the persons who are involved in gang rape. |
