| Soz,Nasir address joint public rally in Srinagar | | |

Srinagar, Apr 27: Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) held a public rally at Alamgari Bazar (down town) Srinagar, in support of Dr. Farooq Abdullah who is contesting the Lok Sabha Elections from Srinagar Parliamentary Constituency.
According to a statement this rally was unique by way of large scale participation of Congress workers of Zadibal Assembly Constituency and adjoining areas, especially participation of Mahila Congress.
Prof. Saifuddin Soz MP(Former Union Minister) & President J&K Pradesh Congress Committee while addressing the gathering, gave a clarion call to the Congress Party Workers to urge the people of Srinagar City to vote for Dr. Farooq Abdullah, who can fight the communal forces in the Lok Sabha that have been unleashed by Narinder Modi. He further explained that Kashmir needs a powerful voice in the Lok Sabha and Dr. Farooq Abdullah can full that requirement. He (Prof. Soz) told the people that it was a very good opportunity for people of Srinagar City to send Dr. Farooq Abdullah to Lok Sabha with a thumping majority. He explained in detail to the gathering that INC-NC unity in the Parliamentary Elections was forged due to one essential reason that it would fulfill the requirement of fighting communal forces and it was also necessary for the unity and integrity of the India. Nasir Aslam Wani MLA, Provincial President JK NC while speaking on the occasion emphasized the fact that Dr. Farooq Abdullah the Coalition Candidate from Srinagar Parliamentary Constituency, richly deserved the vote and support from Srinagar city and he can serve the people's interest best of all. He told the people that they understand the importance of vote and, therefore, they should reach the booth well in time and caste their votes in very large numbers. Mohammad Muzaffar Parray MLC, Vice President said that JK PCC had organized this impressive public gathering, keeping the fact in view that NC-Congress Coalition would serve the interest of the people best.
Those who also spoke on the occasion included Shameema Raina General Secretary, Abdul Gani Khan District President, Peer Afaq MLA, Farooq Andrabi General Secretary, Senior Congress Leader Khemlata Wakhloo, Dr. Syed Ahmad and others. President JK PCC Prof. Saifuddin Soz praised Mohd Muzaffar Parray and Shameema Raina for having organized such an impressive public rally today. |
