| Kidnapped by cousin, Rajouri girl recovered in Srinagar | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Apr 27: A girl hailing from Muradpur village in the vicinity of Rajourti city who was kidnapped by her uncle's married son just two days before her marriage was recovered from Srinagar by the Rajouri police. Police sources said that the marriage of Naheeda Akhter was scheduled with one Mohd Jubair resident of Nagrota on Sunday and all the preparations for the marriage were made. On Friday she was kidnapped by her uncle's son identified as Tanzir Ahmed a driver by profession and was taken to Jammu. Mohd Saleem father of the girl approached the police and a case under section 366 was registered by the police and immediately investigation was started. Police during investigation tracked the mobile phone of Tanzir and his location was traced somewhere near Jammu. A police team was rushed to Jammu and on Saturday police traced the location of Tanzir near Udhampur and it was established that the Tanzir along with Naheeda was heading towards Srinagar. On Saturday evening during some raids at the hotels both were traced by the police in a hotel in down town area of Sringar city. "After hectic efforts and tracking the mobile phone locations of the kidnapper, police recovered the girl from Srinagar. Both were brought to Rajouri today and after legal formalities and medical examination the girl was handed over to parents" said Yashpal Sharma, SHO. |
