Unnao, Apr 27: Flaying Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi over his recent allegations that every other child in Gujarat is malnourished, Narendra Modi said, "After the declaration of results on May 16, it seems comedian Kapil Sharma will have to shut his shop as his show will be replaced by Rahul's short video snippets. In the evening, the TV will entertain you all by airing the videos and all the exertion of the elections will go away," he said.
He said, "The mother-son duo has developed lots of love for Gujarat. They praise Gujarat every day," and added sarcastically, "The two are competing with each other on lies about Gujarat."
"In one of his rally he (Rahul) went on claiming that there are 27,000 crore posts are lying vacant in the state, but he does not know that the total population of the country is only about 125 crore and that of Gujarat it is 1 crore," he said.
Modi, who was addressing a public meeting in favour of BJP candidate Sakshi Maharaj at Government Inter College in Unnao, also targeted the opposition. "It's for the first time in the history of elections that the ruling party and other parties are toiling hard and conspiring day and night to ensure that I (Modi) is somehow stopped from coming to power," he said. He added that they are hell bent to do so. Congress is particularly worried as to where it will go once the election results are declared on May 16. "Mother is saying Hey Bhagwan Bachao Gujarat model se, but this time even Bhawan will not come to the rescue of such 'sinful' people," he said.
Referring to SP and BSP, he asked people if they were aware of WWF wrestling which was quite popular on TV these days. "SP and BSP are on the same side as Congress and they fake the fights like WWF or 'noorakushti' to fool the innocent people," he said. People are angry with them and there is no chance they will come to power again.
He also hit out on the dynastic politics, which has ruined India to such an extent that even after 66 years of Independence, people do not have basic facilities like drinking water, electricity and sanitation.
Without taking name of former external affairs minister SM Krishna, he took a dig at him for reading speech of foreign minister of another nation and he realised it after half-an-hour. "How can such people care for you when they do not care about the country," he said.
Taking a jibe on Union minister Salman Khurshid, Modi said that despite being accused of pocketing huge sums of money through his NGO meant for physically disabled people, the Central government rewarded him by gifting him the portfolio of external affairs minister.
He concluded his speech by asking people to vote for BJP candidate Sakshi Maharaj. He said that people should support BJP and send it with 300 lotuses so that a strong and stable government is formed at the Centre which can work for the benefit of the people.
