Jammu, May 12: A deputation of Jammu and Kashmir United School Teachers Association (JKUSTA) under the Chairmanship of Hari Singh Provincial President met Director School Education Jammu Tushar Kanti and apprised him of various problems being faced by the teaching community. The charter of demands put-fourth by the Association included release pending salary of past Six months in favour of teachers working under SSA & NPS, transparent transfer policy through counseling as in vogue in the state of Andra Pradesh, adjust repatriated Masters, transfer suitably Masters & Lecturers who have completed their tenure in far flung areas, Leave encashment at retirement for school teachers by protecting un-availed half pay leave as in vogue in the state of Haryana, Enhance wages of ReT Teachers, from Rs. 3000 to Rs. 10000. Besides transfer policy for regularized ReT teachers, D.P.C of Teachers to Masters, Masters to Headmasters and Post Graduate Teachers and Masters as Lectures after every six months, Immediate DPC of Class-IV and other non-teaching employees in education department, release selection grade for trained under graduate teachers, remove pay-parity in respect of under graduate teachers working in pay scale 4000-6000 before 01-04-2005.
