| Coalition partners fast losing representative character | | LS polls bring harsh reality to fore | | Shakeel A Khan SRINAGAR, May 12: The incidents that took place after polling in Baramulla Lok Sabha seat seem to be politically motivated. The politicians of the state, more so in power, will try their best to exploit these opportunities as a means of saving in the coming Assembly elections. Those people who are hungry for power will go to any extent for their political survival, doesn't matter if they have to run their horses over the dead bodies. They will not tolerate the rise of those people who can show them the door for ever. The people are of the opinion that the coalition parties more so National Conference will die a political death as the leaders of these parties are fast losing their representative character across the state of J&K. If the things continue to happen like this, then these parties will become a history only. Some people at Srinagar while sharing their ideas with the EARLY TIMES said "the strength of the National Conference can be gauged from the fact that the NC patron and Union Minister for Renewable Energy Dr. Farooq Abdullah looked so desperate that he even requested Ghulam Hassan Mir, Agriculture Minister of J&K for his support in an election rally in Baramulla district. When leaders fail to prove themselves in their practical duty, they are duly disregarded by the people. Then these leaders exist by causing fissures among the people and they even resort to hooliganism to be felt. Their confusing statements set the people against each other. This they do as a political gimmick and also it helps them to hide their failures. Experts believe that the leaders of the state Congress are also in danger of losing their political identity because of their poor services towards the people during the coalition rule. Also its leaders have been in the news for the very bad reasons from time to time. These leaders have become parasites and they live on the performances of the others. "The leaders of the state Congress have taken the politics as an enjoyment not as a token of responsibility to serve the people. It is the repute of Ghulam Nabi Azad, Union Health Minister which gives some credibility to the Congress in Jammu and Kashmir," said Ghulam Mohiudin from Srinagar. He added that the Congress high command has realized its weakness and has plans to hold Ghulam Nabi Azad back in J&K to do the ground work for the party and to head the possible Congress Government after the Assembly elections in the later part of this year. |
