JAMMU, May 12: District Election Officer (DEO) Jammu, who is also Returning Officer for 6-Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary Constituency, Ajeet Kumar Sahu has asked concerned authorities to complete the necessary arrangements at counting centres well in time, during a meeting of officers held at Jammu today. It was informed in the meeting that counting would be held at Government Polytechnic Jammu and M.A.M college. Presiding over the meeting RO said that counting of votes would be arranged in 21 halls for all the segments falling under Jammu Poonch Parliamentary Constituency. Various issues including entry passes for officers and officials, security related issues, parking of vehicles, traffic regulation uninterrupted power and water supply at both the venues of counting,besides number of other issues related to counting were discussed in detail during the meeting. Mr. Sahu directed the concerned officers to put in place the coordinated efforts well in time to ensure hassle free counting. Among others Additional District Development Commissioner, G N Balwan, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Neeraj Kumar, senior functionaries of Police, CPO Jammu, ACD Jammu besides other officers were also present in the meeting. |
