Sacrilegious act committed

RAJOURI, May 12 : A sacrilegious act was reportedly committed in Kandi area falling under the jurisdiction of Kotranka Police Station.
According to sources, police recovered 3 kilograms of animal meat and sent it to forensic laboratory for medical report.
Police have also arrested two persons in this connection who were identified as Mohd Illyas son of Faiz Hussain and Mohd Anin son of Sain Khan, both residents of Kandi and were booked under section 298A RPC (FIR No 28/2014). Station House Officer (SHO) Kotranka Haji Bashir said that on Sunday police received an information of sacrilegious act and police team was rushed to the village.
At about 3 pm police recovered the meat from the possession of the accused persons and other parts of the animal were not traceable.
"The meat has been sent for medical report and if found involved in the sacrilegious act, further action under law will be taken against the arrested persons," said SHO.
