KISHTWAR, May 12 : Launching a scathing attack on National Conference leadership over various issues with regard to unfulfilled promises made by MoS Home Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo with the people of Kishtwar, the Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP) Youth President Kishtwar Mohammad Umar Malik demanded his resignation on moral grounds. While addressing a press conference here today, Umar Malik said that all the promises made by the National Conference MLA in last two terms as an MLA have yet to see the light of success in last over 11 years. He said that there is need for the people of Kishtwar District and state to set their minds to choose only those political parties in upcoming assembly elections who offered them best developmental agenda. "NC has promised the people that they will provide them regular drinking water supply from Naigard canal--- but till date this prestigious water supply scheme remains a distant dream for the people of Kishtwar District," said PDP leader. He said that crores of rupees have been shown spent on this water supply scheme by the government, but people of Kishtwar District are still suffering for the want of drinking water. He said that on the name of Kishtwar-Marwah-Dachhan road, NC leadership of Kishtwar befooled the people of Marwah on the name of wild life as a result of which the road project is still lingering on since last over three decades. "Our schools lack infrastructure and staff. Kishtwar College is without faculty members, without laboratories, libraries and importantly all subjects are not available in the said college," said Malik. "Despite having abundance of resources, NC leadership in last over 60 years only explore them up to the extinct that it gives them personal benefits to them and their workers," he added. He said that despite being the minister for Industries & Commerce, Kichloo failed to fulfill his promise with regard to exploring the famous Sapphire mines of Padder. |
