| DB orally directs JDA to go slow on Gole-Gujral Eviction Drive | | Eviction of 400 Kanal JDA Land | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 12 : In much controversial/ publicized Eviction of Gole-Gujral Jammu Development Authority (JDA) land, today in an application filed by the aggrieved persons seeking stay on eviction, Division Bench of State High Court Comprising Justice Mohammad Yaqoob Mir and Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur directed JDA in the open Court orally that they shall go slow on Gole-Gujral Eviction Drive till tomorrow. After hearing Adv SS Ahmed appearing for the PIL whereas Adv Sindhu Sharma appeared for the JDA whereas Sr Advocate MA Goni appeared for the applications in length fixed the case for tomorrow the Division Bench directed JDA in the open Court orally that they shall go slow on Gole-Gujral Eviction Drive till tomorrow. This direction has been passed in a CMA filed by the petitioner has submitted that land belonging to JDA and Revenue Training Institute, under Khasra No 746 min situated at Gole Gujral, Jammu has been encroached by some elements during the past quite long time and being aware of this encroachment neither JDA nor any other concerned agency bothered to get the same vacated. It has been contended in the application that this land was actually meant for the construction of a colony for economically weaker section of the society and has also prayed for appropriate disciplinary action against the erring officials of JDA and Revenue Dept.
