| 2 commit suicide, 3 others make abortive life bids | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 7: Two persons including a 28 year-old woman committed suicide by consuming some poisonous under mysterious circumstances in separate incidents at their places while three others made abortive life bids in separate incidents. Police sources said that a married woman namely as Geeta Devi w/o Swarn Kumar of Arnia, Bishnah committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance. Quoting her relatives, police said that family members of the deceased took her to SDH RS Pura after she fell unconscious from where doctors referred her to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) where she succumbed. Meanwhile, a man identified as Subash Chand (46) s/o Raghu Dass of Reasi committed suicide by consuming some poisonous at his residence. He was shifted to GMC&H Jammu where he succumbed to fatality of poison. Meanwhile sources further said that a girl namely Priya Saini (22) of Saoora consumed some poisonous substance under mysterious circumstances at her residence and was shifted to GMC&H for treatment by her family members while another girl identified as Poonam (20) of Nagbani also consumed some poisonous substance at her residence and as shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) for treatment.
Meanwhile a girl Shamim Akhter of Surankote was shifted to GMC&H after she consumed some poisonous substance under mysterious circumstances at her residence.
Cases have been registered at concerned police stations and further investigations are on. |
