| Hizb divisional commander among three killed in Tral encounter | | | Saahil Suhail
Anantnag, June 19: Three local militants including a divisional commander of Hizb-ul-Mujahdeen militant outfit were gunned down in a fierce gun battle this evening in South Kashmir's BuchooTral area. Police sources said that on a tip off security forces cordoned off Buchoo village this evening and launched house to house search operation. They said that slain militants who were hiding in a residential house tried to break down the cordon and fired upon the forces in which two army troops of 3 Rashtriya Rifles sustain minor injuries. Army along with SOG retaliated and gunned down the three militants in an orchard, Police sources said. Slain militants were identified as Adil Ahmad Shah Divisional Commander of the militant outfit resident of Dardsora, Aadil Ahma Mir resident of Rathsona and Tariq Ahmad Parray resident of Laribal Tral. Sources told Early Times that Aaadil Ahmad Shah Divisional Commander of the militant, a Bachelor Of computer Applications (BCA) pass out from Islamic University of Science and Technology Awantipora (IUST) out was active since last four years. They said that his brother, Nayeem Shah a Masters in computer applications and post graduate in Islamic studies from the same University was gunned down last year by the security forces. Sources said that Aadil Ahmad Mir wasl also active from last four years while as Showket Ahmad Parray had joined the militancy only before eight months. Secuirty forces have recovered arms and ammunitions from the possession of slain militants including three AK47 Rifles. |
