JAMMU, June 19: A man with an ultimate mission to scale the world's highest peak of Mount Everest has devoted himself to the cause of society with true spirit of adventure. This highly acclaimed diver of 42 years has already been acknowledged as a mountaineer by the Indian Mountaineering Foundation (IMF). Working with Tata Steel, Jamshedpur as Assistant Sub-Inspector, Security, Mazharul Bari was in Jammu as part of the team heading for Ladakh to Summit Stok Kangri peak at an height of 20,305 ft for second time. "I have attained a lot of experience of diving deep into the sea and rivers for a cause. And, at the same time I have been fulfilling my passion of scaling the established mountain peaks across the country ever since my entry into the field of adventure," said Bari in an interaction with Sports & Allied News. Bari has done Scuba Diving course from Barefoot-Andaman and Nicobar (PADI) last year to become international diver. To begin with in 2008, he did his under water diving course from Explorer Institute Kolkota with sponsorship from his parent organization, Tata Steel. Having been involved in numerous search and rescue operations in and around Jamshedpur, this diver has earned a name in his home state by recovering the bodies of those drowned in the waters. "It gives me immense satisfaction when involved in recovering the bodies of those who fell in the deep waters accidentally and died," disclose Muzharul. Presently a visiting instructor in Tata Steel Adventure Foundation, Bari has also done parasailing course and donated blood 45 times. As a mountaineer, this 1970 born man has scaled Adikailash expedition, Kumaon in Himalayan and was part of the motor bike expedition to Kardungla (Ladakh) pass-the highest motorbale road in the world in 2007. |
