| AEE PHE rejects any water crisis, SC Basti locals protest | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, June 19: While AEE, PHE Kathua categorically rejected the claims of water crisis in SC Basti locality, the residents of SC Basti of Budhi today again protested against the water crisis.
During the demonstration the protestors alleged concerned PHE department for having 'double speak' on the water crisis which has been prevailing in said Basti having a population of 700 families of Schedule Casts. They alleged that local populace is forced to walks for about a seven kilometer of distance to fetch water. They said that PHE Department had promised with us to address the problem of water crisis but no action has been taken by the department taken so far in this direction.
Meantime AEE, PHE Gopal Sharma categorically rejected the claims from protestors about serious water crisis. He said that the PHE Department is supplying the water to the Basti regularly and it is surprising to listen their frivolous claims about water crisis. |
