| BSP stages 'sit-in' protest, alleges NC- Cong failed to provide basic amenities | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, Jun 19: BSP unit District Kathua today lambasted the NC-Congress coalition Government of Jammu and Kashmir for being failed to provide electricity and water to the people and staged a sit- in protest here today in Kathua.
To register their protest against the present regime for amplify miseries of people especially in Kathua, the activists of BSP under the leadership of Member Parliament (Rajya Sabha) S. Avtar Singh staged a sit-in for one day against the government at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Park, Kathua and then the protestors marched towards Office of the District Commissioner at Kathua . Addressing the protestors, senior BSP leader from Punjab and MP (Rajya Sabha) S Avtar Singh alleged that state government and union government for making the life of common man full miseries by curtailing the facilities of electricity and water. He said that not only ruling NC-Congress but BJP, PDP and other mainstream political parties are also involved to keep the discrimination approach towards the downtrodden sections of the society.
"We need to be vigilant from their nefarious designs of grabbing the power," he added and exhorted the people of Kathua to give an opportunity to the BSP in forthcoming assembly elections in the state.
In his address senior leader BSP Som Raj Manjotra alleged union and state government for befooling the common man by exploiting their sentiments with false emotional promises like" Ache Din Aane wale Hai" He said present regime in state has failed to provide the electricity and water to people who had given mandate to it. |
