Jammu, June 19: Police today arrested a drug peddler and recovered huge haul of intoxicant items from his possession during a naka at Trikuta nagar locality. A case stands registered against the accused under NDPS Act.
"On specific information, police party of Bahu Fort police station raised a naka at Sector-5, Trikuta Nagar and intercepted one pedestrian namely Ramesh Kumar of Sarwal, Jammu, Police spokesman said here today.
"During frisking, police party recovered 120 Bottles of Corex, 735 Tablets of Anzilum-5, 220 Tablets of Carisoma and 216 Capsules of proxyvon plus from his possession which he was carrying illegally", said spokesman.
The accused was arrested on the spot while the consignments of intoxicant items were seized. A case under FIR No. 114/2014 under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered against accused while further investigation is on. |
