| JSM submits memorandum to PM | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 19: Congratulating Narinder Modi of becoming Prime minister of the India, Jammu State Morcha (JSM) submitted a memorandum to him regarding the issues of Jammu region. Addressing a press conference, President of JSM Prof Virender Gupta said we congratulate Narinder Modi and the Bhartiya Janta Party for its land mark victory in the recent Parliamentary election under the progressive and dynamic leadership of Narinder Modi. He said JSM expects the initiatives from the present Govt, in the matter of Jammu Kashmir Problem, discrimination against Jammu and Ladakh regions, rehabilitation of Kashmiri migrants in Valley, permanently resolving the issues pertaining to POJK displaced persons, including Chhamb Refugees and the West Pakistan refugees. He said the morcha shows its confidence that Govt, of India under his leadership shall take appropriate steps to provide justice to the Jammu people and take all possible measures to fulfill their aspirations and protect their geographical and cultural identity which is under a severe threat of erosion. JSM believes that Kashmir's discrimination against Jammu. Started from 1947 when the Central-government ignored the sentiments of the patriotic and loyal people of Jammu and Ladakh regions and arbitrarily transferred the political power to the Kashmiri leadership without seeking their consent. It was blunder to declare the accession as partial, subject to ratification by the people of Kashmir and to confer on the J&K State the special status under Article 370. |
