Ajmer based Sufi singers enthrall audience

Kishtwar, June 22:- With the aim to ease out the tension in communally divide Kishtwar District, Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Department in collaboration with District administration organized Sufi night at Tourist Reception Center Kishtwar on the eve of Urs Hazrat Shah Mohammad Fareed-ud-Din (RTA) in which renowned Sufi Singers from Ajmer enthralled the audience gathered in large number to witness the event.
While addressing the gathering, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Mohammad Javed Khan said that by organizing this type of program, the administration make its effort to give an opportunity to the people of Kishtwar to feel relaxed and come out of the phase of stress through which the people of the District had undergone in wake of the aftermath of August 9 last year communal clashes. He said that District administration with the help of tourism department will organize Kishtwar Tourism festival in the month of August this year in which renowned singers will be invited. \
While talking to "Early Times", Sojanay Sharma Director Tourism Jammu said that the idea of organizing Sufi night at Kishtwar comes to his mind during his visit to the shrine of Khuja Mohudin Chisti (RTA) at Ajmer. He said that after proper planning, the Shahi Qawals regularly performing at the shrine of Khuja Mohudin Chisti (RTA) were invited. He said that department has now decided to organize the event as a regular feature every year on the eve of Urs. He said that the program was a grand success in which large number of people from different walks of life participated. He said that tourism department has taken many constructive
steps for promotion of tourism in Kishtwar district. He said that efforts are on to invite nationally reputed artist for ensuring their participation in Kishtwar Tourism festival. He said department is looking forward to tap vast tourism potential on Kishtwar-Sinthan circuit. He said that department will shortly outsource the tourism assists which help to generate more employment.
