Shubam's hat trick guides JCC to 47 runs win

Jammu, June 22: Brilliant six wickets haul, including hat-trick, from Shubam Pundir today guided Jammu Cricket Club (JCC) to a fine 47 runs win against International Cricket Club (ICC) in the ongoing group matches of the Chevrolet Cricket Cup Twenty20 Tournament at KC Public School, here.
Earlier, batting first, JCC set a target of 146 runs losing all their wickets in 19.1 overs. Paras Sharma and Jaswinder Singh were top scorers with 44 and 39 runs respectively. From ICC, Sanjay Manhas clinched four wickets, followed by Maqsood, who took two.
In reply, ICC bowled out for 98 runs in 14.3 overs, courtesy six-wicket haul from Shubam. Nihal and Rakesh made highest 33 and 28 runs respectively. From JCC, besides Shubam deadly spell, Vishwajeet clinched three wickets and Deepak Dogra took one.
For his match winning bowling, Shubam was obvious choice for the man of the match trophy.
Meanwhile, in another match of the day, Rainawari Cricket Club (RCC) registered a big nine-wicket win against KC Hyundai.
Batting first, KC Hyundai bowled out for just 71 runs in 13.3 overs. Bandeep was only batsman to touch the double figure mark. From RCC, young Praful Dhar took three wickets while Dilbag Singh and Kuldeep Kumar shared two wickets each. Amandeep and Rahul took one each.
Later, RCC attained the goal in just 7.2 overs making 75 runs for one wicket. Sahil made 17-ball 40 runs while Kuldeep Kumar and Dilbag Singh contributed 17 and 16 runs respectively.
For their superb innings, Praful and Dilbag were adjudged joint winner of the man of the match trophy. Today's matches officiated by Sadiq Hussain Malik and Rajinder Singh as umpires while Sohail Yusuf was scorer.
Tomorrow's fixture: KC Sports Club shall take on KC Motors at 8 am; Friends Cricket Club shall face Chib Cricket Club at 2.30 pm.
