Jammu, July 19: The Jammu based artist couple has returned from Thailand, after performing their art in third international wax sculpture symposium 2014. According to press release Chander Parkash had been invited 3rd International wax sculpture symposium 2014 in this summer, while his wife Sonu Aggarwal also assists him to do monumental wax sculpture. The couple was already invited in Switzerland, South Africa and Russia for International symposiums, and they had given their outstanding performance in the field of visual arts. Chander Parkash had already participated many stone and wood sculpture symposiums around the world, this time he made a wax sculpture which is challenging for him to deal this soft material. The symposium was organized by Tourism of Thailand to attract tourist. Other sculptors who participated in this symposium belong to different counties viz Italy, Ukraine, Spain Malaysia, Bulgaria, Mexico and Thailand. It was culture exchange program to meet different artist to share their tenant and technical skills. Chander Parkash continually works in field of visual arts from last two decades he did his BFA from Jammu University and Master sculpture from MS University Baroda. From the beginning he show great energy through his work which inspired by his own surrounding which refract in his monumental sculptures .many visual elements , mountain, landscape he carved on the surface of his figurative and nonfigurative sculptures. His figures are reflection of Mohras which is situated near to Bouli springs. It was always in his mind to reflect the tradition of Jammu and Udhampur, through his sculpture, when he works in Abroad because these works are displayed in sculpture parks, public places and museum. |
